Important Saddleridge Information

    Saddleridge Board of Directors Election

This notice is posted in compliance with Sec. 209.00593 of the Texas Property Code.

The 2022 SPOA Board Officer Election is coming up in October.

As you all know, this is a great neighborhood in which to live....but, as mentioned many times before; the neighborhood doesn't run itself!! Help is needed to manage it. All of the Saddleridge Board officers are volunteers elected each year by the property owners. We know everyone is busy; but most Board work requires neither great physical activity nor any particular knowledge base. All that is usually required is just some computer and phone time; usually a few hours a month on average.

Please consider getting more involved in the neighborhood by running for a Board position; especially all you newbies in the neighborhood! You get to be in the "inner circle" of Saddleridge goings-on; and of course it's a great feeling to give back to the place you call home. If you've never been involved in such a thing before, don't worry; you'll get lots of help from other experienced Board members.

To volunteer to run in the next Board election, please contact SPOA Secretary George Graham (secretary@saddleridge.com) by September 20th. All that is needed to toss your hat in the ring is a short written Bio to add to the ballot; a paragraph or two is plenty. Submitted Bio's will be included verbatim. Newly elected Board Members will serve from November 1, 2022 until October 31, 2023.

    Thanks for your consideration,

Firewise Communities USA

In 2004, Saddleridge became a member of the Firewise Communities USA. The Firewise Communities approach emphasizes community responsibility for planning in the design of a safe community as well as effective emergency response, and individual responsibility for safer home construction and design, landscaping, and maintenance.

The Firewise website (www.firewise.org) has considerable information regarding fire safety and personal improvements that can be made. There are regular newsletters published on the website, and there's a page on the efforts undertaken by Saddleridge residents (www.firewise.org/usa/saddle_ridge.htm). Take a look at the information available on their website when you get a chance.

Planning to burn cuttings or debris any time soon? Need to know what the burn requirements are, or who to call when you're planning to burn? Take a look at the Wimberley Volunteer Fire Department Website for more information about burn requirements.
